Alexandra Pacula

has just released a new set of work for a solo show at Might Tanaka Gallery in Brooklyn, New York. “veloCity” is the name of the exhibition and consists of both paintings and drawings that show love to one of the greatest metropolises in the world. In her oil paintings, New York City is shown by a beautiful mixture of blurred lines that represent the sparkling lights on the city’s buildings, cars and bridges.

Alexandra Pacula was born in Poland in 1979 and at the age of fourteen moved to The United States together with her family. She is a New York based artist and works in a studio in Brooklyn. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers the State University of NJ in 2002 and in 2006 finished a Master of Fine Arts degree at Montclair State University of NJ.
