was born in California in 1984 and lives and works in Portland, Oregon. She received her BFA from Pacific Northwest College of Art in 2007. Provax creates mixed-media paper collages, text-based letterpress prints and silkscreen monotypes that explore our understanding of time and human scale within the vast universe. She utilizes the language of diagrams, landscape, and typography as well as the imagery of natural science to look towards what is personal and close: our bodies in space, our movement through time. Her body of work is exploring the use of categorizing, organizing, and documenting in relating to the unknown.
