Babeth Lafon

is a Paris-born, Berlin-based freelance illustrator and she loves to create intricate images on coloured papers for clients such as Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Flair Magazine and L’Oréal among others.

After studying Applied Arts and a BA in Graphic Design, Publishing and Advertizing in Paris in 2004 (ENSAA Boulle), she worked as a Graphic Designer in France and Austria before moving to Germany in 2007. It didn’t take very long before she started to get bored. In 2010 she took the best decision ever, and started to seriously focus on her first love, Illustration. she dug out her sketch books and gouache and ink and started playing. Eventually, things came together and in 2013, she was commissioned by the French publishing house Michel de Maule to illustrate her first Book “Une Demoiselle”, a visual interpretation loosely based on Irène Nemirowsky’s novel “The Bal”.
