Bárðarbunga

is a project by Austrian-German audiovisual art collective Dekonstrukt.

Their newest project is Bárðarbunga and the work deals with natural materials.
The materials making up the masks have been collected at the place where the photo was shot and hold in themselves without the help of other substances. Natural materials are used to alienate the human body. How strange feels the modern man in nature? Are we still able to engage ourselves in natural environments or even to merge into it?

More about the collective and their works here.
