Grażyna Smalej

is a Polish painter and a graphic artist.

Recently, she has also participated in Centrifugal Group with the focus on street art and performance. Smalej’s paintings are based on a solid school of realism. This allows her to move  with ease between many conventions – from surrealism (The Dreams of Mary Stuart) through photorealism (Self-Dissolution) to figuration juxtaposed with abstract forms. In the latter phase she experiments with a technique of painting (The Principle of Droplet).
