Helmi Sirola

is a pseudonym of Finnish illustrator Minna Ainoa (b. 1973), who has studied Fashion Design at the Lahti University of Applied Sciences (1993-1997) and at the Helsinki School of Arts and Design (Master of Arts in 2004). During 2000-2011 she has worked as Art Director at the department store Stockmann’s marketing department. The tool of choice for Sirola is the pencil but she also does illustrations with the needle and the thread on fabric, with felt, with watercolors or digitally.
