is an Australian painter and illustrator based in Melbourne.
Piert’s body of work is an exploration of pop culture and branding. A strong theme running throughout the works is the artist’s belief that products and corporations have become the new spokesperson for our generation. He paints headed torsos; weighed down with the heavy burden of brand icons and shrouded in religious stigma. His works are full of muted, cloudy tones; whitewashed and dripping with a deep darkness, giving us a glimpse into one man’s complicated relationship with religion.
