John Holcroft grew up in Lancashire and when he was 9 his family moved to Yorkshire where he spent most of his childhood drawing, painting and making stuff from what ever he could find. During his collage years he became a fan of artists like David Cutter, Ian Pollock and Edward Hopper. He left with an HND in Graphic design and was proud of his achievements only to end up in the 90s recessional jobless queue.
