Keita Morimoto

is a Japanese painter based in Toronto, Canada. He takes us into a cool, mystical lagoon populated by nude youths that appear to exist in a timeless oasis. As the we venture deeper into the night, Morimoto’s brushstrokes go from sharply-focused to hazy. Lounging bodies become enigmatic, our gaze intrusive, as a contrasting color palette illuminates pallid skin tones wit a moonlit glow.
