is a freelance photographer from Venice, Italy.
Silent and mysterious, draped in an unapproachable silence and beauty, each of Luca Bortolato’s images seems to tell a story. A story that can’t be read accurately nor clearly defined. The women shown in the pictures appear vulnerable and strong at the same time, yet are still shy and withdrawn without hiding completely. Dreamy, fairytale like and gentle, Bortolato designes his images in an almost minimalistic way. Some seem to tell of a long journey, others wrap the viewer in a moment of silence in which everything else around him fades into the background.
Luca Bortolato himself is a graphic designer and has been fascinated by the power of certain pictures from an early age on. He says that a small part of him lives on in and through every one of his pictures.
