is an American artist known for his hyper-realistic and strikingly detailed paintings of subtly staged and slightly voyeuristic images of contemporary American culture. Interested in the transformative possibilities of familiar iconic images, Dennis explores the charged subjects of beauty, pleasure, and power. Born in Danvers, Massachusetts, Dennis was one of five sons. He received his B.F.A. from Tyler School of Art of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and his M.F.A. in 1993 from The University of Texas at Austin. His paintings are represented with Hasted Kraeutler Gallery at 537 West 24th Street in New York City.
