Ozge Cone

is a Turkish photographer based in London.

When she started to take photos, she got influenced mostly from photos of early 20th century photographers/artists like John Ernest Joseph Bellocq, Anton Giulio Bragaglia. Also, she was interested in artists who helped to define the revolutionary developments in the plastic arts in the opening decades of the twentieth century. In this period, some experimental musicians and Far Eastern movies inspire her shots. Especially Wong Kar Wai’ s films. Mostly, she can be affected by politics and social facts. She dwells on the concept of chaos for a long time and she started to work on her first project ” Inside and Out “. Honestly she keeps working on it for 3 years and not finished yet for her. She tried to learn about the thoughts and the psychological phases that her models are in. And then, she focused on her “Faces” project and she concentrates on the concept of persona. And her last project : “Zip your Lip! – Memories of Occupy Gezi”.
