Rino Stefano Tagliafierro

is an Italian artist. He studied at ISIA in Urbino and at IED – European Institute of Design in Milan. His films have been included in the programmes of Sapporo Short Fest 2013, Atlanta Film Festival 2013, Night of Animation in Lille 2013, Video Art & Experimental Film Festival of NEW YORK 2013, New York International Children’s Film Festival 2013, Festival International du film d’animation Annecy 2012, ESMI Awards at FIC – Buenos Aires, Ottawa International Animation Festival Ottawa 2012, Animanima 2012, Anim’est 2012, Festival del Cinema di Venezia, Cracow Film Festival, Bug Festival, among others. Rino has made music videos for several bands including Four Tet, M+A, Mobbing, Digitalism, Stumbleine, Orax. Among his major commercial collaborations: Lancia, BMW, Adidas, Antonio Marras, Kenzo.

He has directed a short film that breathes life into static master paintings renowned throughout art history. From Caravaggio’s grotesque ‘Sacrificio Di Isacco’ to Tiziano’s reclining ‘Venus Di Urbino’ the vignettes that make up ‘Beauty‘ ‘spring from the immobility of canvas, animating a sentiment lost to the fixedness masterpieces.’
