The body’s enticing olfactory anatomy is the focus of Barnaby Roper’s Scratch’n’Sniff, his turn in NOWNESS’s Define Beauty series. The film highlights the electric chemistry that exists between bodily scent and attraction, making a case against concealing our pheromone-producing cavities and glands.
Barnaby Roper is a photographer and director, who moved from London to New York in 2006. His work has appeared in worldwide publications including i-D, Dazed and Confused, British Vogue, Arena, Japanese Vogue, GQ Style and French GQ. Roper has directed videos for bands including Razorlight, Futureheads, Moby, OKGO, Snowpatrol, The Enemy and Ed Harcourt. Roper is also working with his wife Camilla Stærk in establishing the Stærk label in New York
