Stéphane Coutelle

is a French photographer and director, known for his stunning portraits of women, who has succeeded in combining a fine art and a commercial career.

Insomnies, to be released April 2014, combines intimate pictures of women with mysterious night landscapes. Shoebox Studio, released by Damiani in March 2012, is a artless series of portraits of young aspiring models taken in Paris between 2004 and 2008. Other photography projects include The Corner (Paris, 1998-2002), Three Sisters (Prague, 1989 – 1995). His self-portrait photo book, Me Myself and I, was published by Kehayoff Edition in 1995. Stéphane Coutelle has been focusing on photography for the last fifteen year. Previously, as a painter, he exhibited his large, hypnotic women’s portraits on solo shows held at the Paris Hôtel de Ville (1994), Coprim Foundation  (Femme du Temps Jamais, 1995) and Galerie Art & Patrimoine (Face B, 1998).
